Barbara Cushman created a Calendar Project in the late 70ties through the mid 80ties using the new (at that time) Color Xerographic copier. She identified artists interested in using this new tool and invited them to create a month to be inserted in the calendar for that year. Using the copier, these artists (and she identified over 100) captured the spirit of the time in astonishing, irreverent and create ways.
